Most of the breaks of this kind can be repaired with a short piece of 16ga steel wire. I made a how to but I think was on different forum and the videos got vaporized.

I feel ya...

I did the rear door and it's a royal pain in the a$$. In the end I worked out the best way was to swap the old rubber mount and the cables onto the new carrier and after some 20-ish attempts and many curses, it went together first time...

You sure do learn with these things....

Cheers

I'm about to do my rear door. I will take pictures of course. Before I took the handle off about a month ago I was able to yank hard enough to open the door. This tells me it's the axle surround on the hinge per usual. I may try to fix with just a zip tie for the benefit of followers. It's about 7/10 difficulty to bend the wire info that tiny space just right. I "make it look easy" because it's all in a day's work for me.

Every day I don't literally make a new tool for the job is a good day for me.

I've never done the back door yet so I'm sure there will be new tricks to learn and share.

The back door is a pain to get at because of the limited space and alignments... and it was my first one so the learning curve was steep....
