Don't remove the relay. You will likely break off the pins.

You should be able to just jumper the down connection. The trace that is corroded is a signal wire so I only used a 30g wire (so it would fit into the copper via to the other side of the board).

You can test by doing a hand jumper while It's plugged into the car. (may want a helper it could be 8/10 difficulty to hold the jumper in place at the same time as pressing the down button on the other side of the switch.

Can someone show me where exactly I should connect the jumper wires because upon closer inspection it would appear that my circuit board is a little different to the one in the pictures of this thread. I think it could be because my vehicle is RHD and perhaps the pictures if from a LHD vehicle. But still I can't figure out where I should solder the jumper wires. I will upload a Pic so you can see what I'm talking about

AWR-fix: DIY repair of window control module (switch)

You need to find the equivalent to this trace on your board. With any luck you can just see it at the edge of the relay.

Find where it goes on the back side of the motherboard and you can solder a jumper from the bottom corner. If you identify the spot I will mark up your photo to match my LHD version.

It's not a mirror image so it's not as simple as it should be.

Ok so im not going crazy then, cos i have been starring atit for hours inspecting the markings on my board and comparing with yours, cos that is exactly what i thought it would be like a mirror image. I have removed my relay to have a look under it, but the damage is nowhere near as bad as yours but it definately has some corrision

The trace is tiny it doesn't need to be bad before it stops working.

The one I fixed I think came from a junk yard might have been rained on for months.
