Does anyone have a 4.4i Transmission Valve Body schematic, torque specs, etc...
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Good day!!
I tore down my valve body a while back... About 3/4 down on this page is the start... https://xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-forums/...roject-12.html I don't think I ever found a torque spec for the valve body itself... I just used the M6 bolt torque... Plus or minus a smige probably won't matter... 8.8 grade M6 bolt is 9Nm... 10.9 grade (doubt they are this, but) is 13Nm... You can do the software update if you have a laptop and cable.... and I used NCS Expert... It didn't correct my issue... HOWEVER!! I would just swap out the solenoids on the valvebody and change the fluid with LG6... If that doesn't get it, then consider the software upgrade... Might be better to have the dealer do it if you don't already have the set-up, or know someone with the set-up... Good luck!!! Cheers!!

Did you end up changing the solenoids on there as well or did you just pretty much tear it down and cleaned it? I do remember you changing out the seals but wasn't sure if you changed anything else on there? Any tips?

I went super slow with the disassembly! Mainly due to unfamiliar with what to expect... Spring tension and valve orientation... IF you do pull the valve body part, get the NEW separator before you start... There are at least two versions!!! I also filled the trans in four stages... **Initial - fluid cold - engine off... **Started and ran for a second, then off - fluid topped - fluid cold... **Then started and left running - fluid warming - fluid topped - plug replaced... Moved shifter thru gears several times... engine shut down... **Allowed to cool fully (fluid over full)... Started and ran until trans temp was in range (monitored with INPA), pulled fill plug and allowed to drain until a slow trickle... replace plug... It is difficult to do with no dipstick tube... Good luck!!! Cheers!!!

Look up the member RPhil. He rebuilds the transmissions as a hobby. Many different posts by him here and on the Jag, RR sites (same tranny). Much info
.
