Double DIN Eonon GA8166 No Audio
Here's Eonon's response: "Does your car have DSP system and AMP? If it has AMP, please kindly check if the AMP control cable has stable 12V?" Here's website for the Eonon head unit: https://www.eonon.com/Android-Car-GP...o-Display.html |

Interesting timing. I have that exact same head unit. NO issues since I got the truck in January (PO installed Eonon)...then 3 weeks ago, NO audio. NONE. I had already picked up a JL MX280/4 to replace factory amp eventually because I heard that the factory DSP amp would be problematic, at best, but was definitely considered a weak point of the system. Anyways, my installer said that the factory amp was toast when tested last week for the swap. He bypassed the amp, installed the MX280 and I got my jams back right away. My guess is your amp went bad. Only $1300 to replace with OEM. Yeah right. Good luck.

I have the same issue with my Dynavin N6: I loose audio every few months. Disconnecting and reconnecting the battery always fixes it. I and Jeff have gone through troubleshooting steps with no success. I got a new IBUS decoder but that did not fix it. Reconnecting the Dynavin or decoder does not help. Whenever audio is lost, I always find the IBUS decoder with a red light on it. INPA/DIS/SSS show that the DSP amp is fine. Jeff thinks that there's something wrong with the DSP amp. But I never had such issues with the factory headunit. Anyhow, I can live with the issue as it happens every 2-3 or so months, although reaching the battery is a hustle if you have to do it every so often.

ajacks8 and X5only, thanks for you replies. So the fact that the voice command audio is coming through the car's speakers okay does not proof that the DSP/amp is working? Do you know if the voice command is using a different amp?

The no-audio issue is temporarily solved. See this new thread...

Mine still jams after bypass of original amp...
It's been almost two months with no interruption, except for two half-second audio cut-outs within the first minute of sound. They are back-to-back and even predictable at this point. I'll live. Good luck.
