I suggested that on the FB and this cat wanted to argue that it's crap and this that and the other.
While the alpina H1's supercharger by itself lists for $10k. If one were to find a wrecked B7 and swap everything, it appears the only issue would be DME tuning and relocating the PS reservoir and the expansion tank.

I don't have FB so I cant chime in there in defense for the H1... Although it very well be a crap of a supercharger it still provides a good foundation to upgrade from there.

relocation of the reservoirs is the least of the worries. Plenty of room behind the bumper for a decent size front mount, piping is another story.. maybe run a water to air cooler instead??

I always wondered about a top mount such as a whipple SC..

Alpine H1 is a good idea on paper, but not very practical. The entire block is proprietary. It is not just a modified 4.4. It would be much more difficult, then even modifiying a 5/6/7 series kit to the X5. Not to mention the complications with the xDrive that Alpina’s never had.

wonder how much it would be to piece everything together yourself. My guess would be the bracket being the hardest part

I did see that alpina claimed the block as their design, but didn't think it was an entirely new block.
Best bet may be to just swap an B7 motor into the damn thing then. Lol.

Any updates on this? Do they have enough of interest to start production on sc kit?

Does anybody have information on this? When will they launch the sc kit? I'm very interested, but I get no answers from them directly.

He's a foul mouthed d&ck. Bangs on like a tool about all of the things re his 4.8is then advertises it as for sale with no issues.... wannabe hero... but I digress...

Re the supercharger, I'm on the same mission for my project 4.8is...

It's become a mission as I've read so much about the failures of newer V8's by BMW not being addressed that unless you stick with a diesel it's really dangerous to buy one outside of the US (we have no lemon laws in Australia)

Even though it's hard to find a low k E53 I'm on the hunt (or I will upgrade my existing 130,000km one) and I've decided to stick with the E53. It's a known quantity thanks to all the info on this forum, has pretty well everything you could want in the real world and can be upgraded with a few creature comforts such as seats, nav, brakes and suspension.

There are some people in Russia making a seat module to allow the F15 seats to fit and talk with the E53 so that's on the way...

Definitely going the Bilstein route with the suspension and have already chosen the wheels...

The Nav is going to be a toss up once I find the time to read the LOOOOOONG thread here on audio upgrades vs android/dynavin head unit..

The only issue is the engine....

So far I've contacted G-Power but they have nothing and aren't interested in providing any info...

Alpina didn't respond.... nor did the engineering company that made the blocks...
Ditto with Dinan and ESS...

I WILL find a way to get some extra ponies... and my indy is enrolled...

so the hunt continues...
