Just cut them open. Much "easier." That's a relative statement of course.

On the E70 the lens getting so messed up they sell just the clear lenses for $150 or so.

Also being permasealed people cut the lens off with a dremel/oscillating tool.

Once the lens is cut off you can then take a screw driver or chisel and remove all the seal.

But I haven't seen anyone who sells replacement lenses for the e53.

We're working on 10, 11, 12, 13+ year housings.

IMO, the correct recourse is just buy new shells and redo from there.
Aged mounts, nice new clear lenses. In my current one, the leveling rod is broken so my DS is dipped.

If you're going to the trouble of cracking it open to install something, these are the Pro's that I would consider by going with new shells

I did find a seller once... and wish I would have ordered them when I did. They have been NLA for about a year from that source. There were ~$120/pair if memory serves. For removal I found that heating up the housing plastic and cutting with a razor blade is the fastest and cleanest method of removal. Then you can use a hook/pic tool to dig out all the adhesive from under the lens. When you reassemble it looks almost undetectable if done well.

I'd totally agree if new shells weren't $1400 for Xenon with ALS.

Well... BimmerJakes has the facelifted lenses at the moment. But at a premium. $329!!! Yikes. Really wish I would have bought them when they were cheaper.

Right now I have EURO lights just sitting in my living room. Debating to open them to mod or not but don't want to mess something up as these are worth it's weight in GOLD lol.

Plus its RHD but I found that there is a lever inside to switch them to LHD which I thought was pretty cool

Mr Robot - if you can find the right buyer - which I doubt. That very narrow market has sailed already. I have the underride guard with my tile saw sitting on top of it. Always considered flipping it but decided I'm keeping it till the truck is out of my possession. I know I would have sellers remorse with that.

Heh. Are you constantly searching fleabay with a search alert.

YEARS ago, I scored some OE seat skins - the right ones too, color and sport !
AFAIK, RealOEM only offered full seats.
That was a godsend of a golden unicorn purchase right there. One of the better buys I've done....well, aside from the upholstery shop. Good upholstery shops cost $$$ The price is the price per se.
