Well I bought ANOTHER X5 so I guess I will be doing another stereo thread. This one is a 2001 X5 so it should be different from the 2005 one I did.

Now I just need to figure out where to put it. 3 X5's take up a good bit of room....

Couldn't pass it up. I wanted a bmw pickup truck but no dice on that anytime soon so I got this one to be my mud/off road-ish x5.

Only thing wrong with it that I know of so far is the air suspension needs fixing.

I just got the Eonon 7.1 Android from Amazon ($239) and I am going to install it this weekend.
I will start a new thread since this specific upgrade has not been well documented.
Several have done it in the E38 - which is the same.

Welcome to the world of two E53's.

We're at the 01's 18th birthday this month. We bought it new in December, 2000. 123k miles. The V8 is at 124k miles but we're headed to the Sunshine this week. Probably 128k by year end.

And yes. They're both filthy in this pic. I call it.. 'Shame'

Both still look great.

I feel kind of bad for the new one. It has a new paint job and is full loaded and it will be left out in the weather and used as my offroad x5

The other two get to live in the carport protected from the elements and stay clean.

I know Im going to do winter tires year round on it. Either blizzaks or nokian, something very aggressive but I doubt I will do real mud tires.

Whats the land rover suspension about?

Doubt its going to get a snorkel But who knows.
