You guys need someone that knows NCS expert to set you up. If it's code-able then surely it can be done with NCS expert. Maybe check some other forums as X5 owners typically aren't on the leading edge of this stuff. If you want to avoid coding, or it is not possible without adding a box, then why not just add a relay ?

Even the E39 M5 guys haven't figured it out lol and they resort to hard wiring with relays as well.

I suppose that will be my last resort.

I am pretty good with NCS Expert. I went over all the LCM trace files again yesterday and just don't see a changeable setting. This has been elusive for years, someone would have figured it out by now if it was easy.

Nice. Well that's another reason the android is attractive.

Gosh. Who knew ya'll were so into the tweaks.

Mind me asking a question and someone might have a angle.
After reading the most recent comments, it got m thinking about the current headlight retro I'm doing

Stock lows/Bi Xenon (Xenon will trigger on high flash)
LED corners - stock triggered
I think I'm keeping it stock on Highs
Halos will be wired up to my already relay/that get's juice once the car is on.
These NEW rings will be switchbacks so it's constant 5K and when turns and initiated, they will turn amber and flash.

Out of all of this, I don't think themodlight module can be put into my setup so that the rings will light up when I unlock it right - due to the fact the rings are outside of the ~bus~ already

Mine's a PRE. Maybe it exist in the code and wiring somewhere....but it did not come with Rings from the factory.

Like you said because there was no ae wiring from factory so it might not work.

I'm currently retrofitting EVOxR 2.0 to mine but that is all I'm doing as I love the amber halos over LEDs and it's still serviceable in the event the bulb goes out.

On my original retro, when everyone was going LED 5K for the source, my preference was amber. It's subjective but in this ~current day and age~, amber just feels so old....and this is coming from the same person who insisted on Amber back then too.

For me it's not about looking old or new, amber looks meaner as it provides contrast with the HIDs.

I hear ya. Um, er FULL RGE Demon eyes QUAD looks pretty mean too !

Ha. The DE eyes did not exist back on original retro. Trucks not mine and too much coin for this current round of modz, but the DE is pretty sweet, even on just single projectors

MR. R -

I like these alot . It might have swayed by decision different if there were available larger ring size. The quality from what I understand is hands down much better than the Mori's
