I wanted it to be extremely difficult to do so as well so as to not attract any unwanted attention to my windshield. I will probably epoxy in to the mount.
The stand alone dvr system Seicane has probably the fanciest I have seen from a mount and forget standpoint though I don't think it has land departure last time I looked. It does have a great 360 degree camera setup.

From a brief look at their site it does look interesting. But also uses WiFi, which I think is a terrible way to pull data off a device. I want a hard connection at all times. LOL I pulled ~1000ft of cat 5e through our attic and another 500ft of cat 6 for this reason. From the experience I had with this Chinese camera and its WiFi capabilities it would leave me worried about its quality and ability to connect.

Edit: Found this one and a few others that are USB on their site. Might have to give one of those a try... finding a quality forward camera in this day and age seems like it should be much easier.

Updating the first post now but was curious... does anyone know what this relay is? Air suspension maybe? Tow package? It's on the left and is heavily wrapped in cloth material from where it was installed in the electronics tray (along the right hand side).

Looks like the air suspension control unit. Mine was on the right hand side of the tray under the spare tire and was that size.

Mine has it as well, I assumed it was the the 2-axle air suspension relay as the EHC-II module is somewhere in the front instead.

Btw, your pictures no longer work on Tapatalk, weird

The pictures work for me in chrome on my mobile. Don't use tapatalk because I hate the auto signature.

Thanks I was pretty sure it was the ehc II relay but wanted to confirm.
