Door won’t open!?

Drivers side rear door all of a sudden won’t open. Lock seems to work but neither inside or outside handle will open the door. All others work fine. I’ve tried the fob and the central button, neither made a difference. Has something gotten disconnected inside the door? This is not a critical issue so enjoy your Christmas, but give me some advice when you can! Thanks.

The double lock can get out of sync. I would try this: hold the central lock button down while pulling the inside door handle. You may have to lock the car with key fob first: press twice to disable the motion sensor.

1) get in the back seat
2) lock with key fob
3) lock again with key fob: notice the clown nose will stay on for a second then blink fast
4) press and hold the central lock button
4a) pull inner door handle at the same time with luck that will disengage the double lock and the door lock will pop up.
5) a second pull will open the door if that worked. (Be ready to disable the alarm which will trip).

Thanks I’ll give that a try in a few minutes. The door lock knobs pop up and down on all the doors now. It seems to in lock and unlock just won’t open.
I’ll try this and report back as soon as I finish.

If the outside handle feels like it's not going down all the way or feels spongy coming up you may have broken the handle carrier. If at the same time child lock is enabled it will make it a challenge to open. Need more feedback.

Got it. Don’t know how though. Went through the list as presented three or four times with no joy. As I was sitting there, in the back seat contemplating my next move the X auto locked. I thought: great, now I’ll set of the alarm when I get out. Out of curiosity I tried the problem door and it opened! I just hope it stays that way. Thanks again for the help. Without it my passengers would be sliding across the seat for eternity!

I suspect I know what may have happened. I think the person sitting behind me (I was the driver) may have pulled on the door handle before I hit the central unlock button and then pulled it a second time immediately after. I think this may have created this locking situation. In any event, it seems to be functioning properly now. I thank andrewwynn for pointing me in the right direction.
