Knew I was jinxing myself. Light showed up again yesterday. I cleared it and it was back today. Damn!

If it's the sensor that's bad I'd just replace it.

Unless you want to stop by and give my ex-wife a ride to the nearest bridge abutment.

Yup,mine was doing the same. Was the seat pad sensor. Got the bypass module and it fixed it. May be under recall also depending on VIN.

Wife's sensor defective but works when it's warm. She gets an airbag light when it's below zero outside. Once cabin warms up we can restart the car and the airbag light clears. I've been considering getting the seat pad emulator didn't want to deal with the seatbelt also since it only happens when cold.

When I run a scan it sees a problem with the control module so it could be internal wiring. I get the internal error even when warm but it doesn't set off the dash light though.

Same happened with mine until it broke completely. See if it is under the recall. Mine was not but most were. Emulator and seatbelt bypass work flawlessly, otherwise.

Shouldn't be. It's a safety device so it should be be covered. My friends 2002 was as well as another friends early 06. Mine was a late 06, and though same problem, not covered. Weird.

Airbag light, reset? Repair? Replace?

The cut off was like 2002. Wife and I both have 2001. Even with "safety device" there is a statute of limitations of sorts. The range was just a few years like 02-04 covered but pretty sure the bum lot of butt sensors went back to 2000 when wife's was made.

Get the emulator and seatbelt over ride, then. That sucks, though.
