Turn signals, hazards temporarily do not work.

2004 3.0L with automatic trans....Occasionally when I start up the turn signals, hazard flashers and a few of the instrument panel lights do not work. After I drive for a few minutes the OBC dings and gives me its warnings (Check high beams, etc) and thing all operate normally. I put a new battery in the vehicle a couple weeks ago. I also had a new remote key made and programmed as my original fob battery died a few years ago. The dark dash doesn't bother me too much but I don't like driving without turn signals. Any ideas? Thanks.

Sounds like the dash is dying. Bad traces or solder joints. Heat can change those things so when it warms up they can reconnect. Have you read error codes cold and hot? I get an error coffee from my dash it's in sure related to the fact my key buzzer longer works

Could also be something odd in the LCM, as it's mainly lighting that is playing up. When did problem start - only after you replaced the battery?

I had this happen a couple months ago, but it went away within five minutes and hasn't come back.

I did some more reading and I am thinking probably the LCM. I have the sunroof drain issue and it may have gotten wet. I hope it dries out now that the drain is fixed.

Thanks for the replies.
