4.8iS you'd be filling up twice a week, maybe more... E70 diesel, you'd fill up maybe twice every 3 weeks.

Yeah but with a 4.8iS when you go fast enough you travel back in time..

the iS sounds good, has good torque, but doesn't help my fuel issue. The other factor is daily destroying the Cayenne. If I'm gonna do that, I'd rather it be the X5 where i have less to lose. ugh... I'm a mess !! LOL I test drove a 4.8iS yesterday. 140k, engine, trans was solid, needs front axles and what i'm guessing is regulators in all the windows. I can pick it up for $2800 though. Thoughts? thanks for the feedback. I'll update everyone on what I find. |

You want to rely on a $2,800, 140k mile 4.8iS as a daily driver for your 24,000 miles/year commute?
What kind of drugs are you taking, that made you think this would be a good idea?

I can almost guarantee if you were to buy that vehicle. Have at least $4k cash ready to fix the other issues. $2,8k is stupid cheap...Might as well part it out if it doesnt work out LOL!

You know how they say every Porsche 911 is a $25,000 car no matter what you bought it for? The 4.8iS is the same way. Maybe not $25k but probably not far off from that.
