For those with Parking Lights Disabled

For those with Parking Lights Disabled

With lows on, and Parking Lights Disabled, can you do a quick test for me. Are you guys seeing any voltage with PLD. I just want to verify if the LCM shuts it off or is there still 12V with PWM with PLD ? ----tinkering with switchbacks..

I think the switchbacks goal is dead. For night use, I do feel having parking lights illumination *albit dimish due to chrome bulbs*, is still better.

But man, ones gotta see these things in amber. In white, its dang bright bright already. When in switchback mode, the ambers is 2X brighter. Oh well, at least we tried

I have switchbacks in my front signals. The bright amber is the only thing that illuminates for signal. I never have any white during running lights. Can't remember... but I don't think I am running resistors up front either. I just did a visual check and did not see any wiring other than that for the angel eyes.

I'll be keeping an eye to see if you do get them running. Though with the brightness of my angel eyes I'm not sure it would benefit me to have the extra white in the signal area.

With bulb source is your switchbacks ?

In my case, it's LED - but we're talking aftermarket rings - with turn/switchback function coming off the turns/parking lights. It behaves fine (switchbacks) with lows off.
The issues is the constant 12V (PWM) that comes into play with lows on.

I think turning off turn signals may shut/SHUNT the PWM 12 volt , but the PWM is causing the funky issues on the switchback rings. Regardless, I feel at the end of the day, I would still want running amber sides when lows are on (some level of sidelight visibility) than no lights on the side.

Bought the signal bulbs on Amazon. I think I linked them somewhere... will go through my order history in a bit.

I still get amber on parking lights with lows on. Just the white LED chips never illuminate. So effectively I have a set of replacement signal lights that emulate the factory bulbs in terms of how they act. Amber for running lights both with and without low beams on. Flash amber for signal.

Edit: These are the ones I ordered. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Yeah. Figured just as much. Hyperflash at all ?
I have LED bulbs for turns I have not plugged it (really digging the stealth bulbs in there now)
I presume your parking lights are at ~full bright~, and when turns are enabled, it's flashes

- it does not operate to OE in where is is dim in parking, and full bright with turns enabled -

yeah, it's just the PWN that is driving the ~driver~ that is tied into the rings bonkers.
Wish it was the latter. The rings in amber are bada##.

Had I know this would have been bueno, I would have probably gone in a different direction and went with constant amber rings for the design. I've always liked amber. I know many don't ...

I just ended up completely disabling mine via pa soft and only used as turn signals with euro lights come with stealth bulbs as standard.

I like the clean look now when I have the headlights on without the ambers.

Mind doing a voltmeter test. Be curious if 12V is still applied even with PL disabled.

Don't forget the PPF film too for the new refreshed lights!

- No hyperflash. Operates just as OE did. I have cold monitoring, and possibly warm monitoring, disabled via Carly coding

- Correct, full bright all the time. Parking = full bright, signal = full bright

Could you link me to the set you have?

Still new in pkg
https://www.amazon.com/LASFIT-Resist...r=8-4-fkmrnull

I have fitted the canbus 7506 in rear, as well as these
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Also did the backups.
Output seemed less than tung. but I kept the bulbs in there regardless

Customer service I can vouche is excellent. One bub was turning in it's socket. They sent me a label to return and then sent the replacement out. No huss, fuss or send me pics
