Bdc101 is on a distinguished road
P0172 & P0175

My X (2003 3.0/5spd) threw these two codes last week. The car drove fine and I cleared them once to see if they were just spurious, but they came back. I googled it and found that they were rich codes that might be caused by a cracked intake hose, and I actually have one in the garage ready to go on, so I was going to so that this weekend. The X has been used for a couple short trips in town since then.

I got in the car to go to work today and the check engine light is gone. Could these codes have reset themselves? I've never heard of codes resetting themselves before.

Fwiw, my P0172 code situ was exhaust camshaft sensor...I did not have P0175 with it, so not diagnosing your situ from afar. Just informing you of my P0172 fix:
