Does anyone know what the minimum pressure is that the pump needs to produce to operate the system

No, but most of the stuff I’ve seen shows 10psi as too low to pump up without codes and needs a simple refurb kit. My comp is running around 15.5psi after I did it....

Thanks, mine is 12.75 but the selflevel suspension inactive fault is on, ordered a new compressor housing so will see what it is once fitted. I fitted a new seal ring two years ago but can’t remember the fault, tried one the other weekend but fault came back after I load3d the car so thinking it’s not producing enough pressure

AT 113K miles my bore was scored badly and unable to build pressure. The "smart" part of the system apparently shuts the power off to the pump when either the unit overheats or no pressure change is detected



Those of us with older mileage units that are planning to keep the vehicle for an extended period of time might consider a complete head unit and piston ring combo for about $25. Available here:
