4.6-4.8is OEM brakes fitment on 3.0i
At first glance it looks like this would be a nice upgrade to the 3.0i... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I think that 18" standard rims on the 8, I can't imagine any problem other than if you only change the fronts you might get inadvertent rear lock up.

Thanks! My intention is to swap out both the front and rear at the same time. I’m mostly concerned about the caliper fitting within the wheel without issue. I beleive the 4.6-4.8 rotors are a bit larger diameter.

I think they are but most people I've talked to that have the 8 cylinder also have 18" rims so non issue and I'm behind the idea.
What tool do you have to bleed the brakes and also if you are going to flush the brakes check the rear brake lines under the drivers seat (LHD) they usually are pretty rusty mine blew a leak stopping for a deer.

Front rotors from a 4.6-4.8iS are about an 1" bigger in diameter. I believe the rear are the same.

@andrewwynn - I plan to flush the entire braking system (local BMW shop will do this). Thanks for the heads up on the potential for rusted brake lines. I live in the northeast, and the winter weather salting and mag cloride can eat away the lines fiarly quickly.

As mentioned by others above...the 4.6is & 4.8is can fit 18" wheels (any of the e53 18" wheel offerings can be used). You can see in the page taken from the face lift e53 owners manual...that the 4.8is can use an 18" tire for winter use (see blue highlighted text):

You should definitely swap the rear as well, as they are also upgraded over stock. The rears are only the same on the V8 models.
