Wheel stuck on the X5

Well I went to change my brakes and sure enough the wheel I had to press on basically from the splayed flange fiasco from changing the cv axle is not letting go of the wheel.

Anyone run across a fancy wheel remover for bmws?

I have tried the dropping it from 1/2 a foot up with the lug bolts almost removed. Always worked in the past on stuck bmw wheels. Zilch.

Tried the turn the wheels back and forth with it on the ground. Zilch.

Beat the snot out of it with a deadblow hammer. Zilch.

Last option if its even possible with be to try to change the brakes without removing the wheel.

I'm not sure mine was ever a stuck as yours but I would lift car, safety stand the corner, remove lugs and then take a seat directly in front of the hub of the wheel and kick left, kick right, kick left, kick right. Sharp kicks and it eventually released. Good luck!

I'll try it but at my age I figured that dead blow hammer is doing more to it than my legs will.

Going to try some tricks I found on youtube. One is an improved method of the dropping it down with the lug bolts on but loose. It involves putting something at the back edge of the tire so it doesn't come down flat but is pushed more from the inner tread. Should put more twisting force on it.

Old guys rule! I'm 60 next year. You can still generate 500 psi or more from a kick from the seated position.

I so want to make fun of this one but I actually removed a wheel hub this way once. I used a truck for the pulling and pulled the camry several feet before it let go

Well I have tried every method I have and it wont budge. I even went for a drive with the lug nuts loose. Nothing.

If my driveway wont break it lose then driving isn't going to work as a fix.

I kicked the crap out it.

Hammered.

I have more extreme methods but with the aluminum wheels I don't feel comfortable using any of them. I own a porta power but again I bet that will bend the wheel before it gives.

I own a case 580ck backhoe which can pick up houses and could easily pickup the entire x5 but again that much force the wheel would be ruined before anything useful would be accomplished.

Why me? I just want to change the brakes

I honestly don't know what else to try without damaging something.

Put the lug nuts back on the wheel, but loosen them one or two turns. Drive the car and slam on the brakes. This usually work for me.
