ABS/DSC Fuses Questions.
51 also controls engine management so that is out. The other two are marked as only ABS. Which is the best fuse/s to pull to turn off the ABS/DSC so I can further diagnose my problem and, most likely, drive the vehicle to the repair shop? What, if any, other consequences are likely results from pulled fuses? Could I damage the controller/ABS "pump" at all? I'd rather pay the $140 for a flatbed than blow $2000 worth of ABS components. TIA

I cant see an abs fuse effecting anything while driving it.
Sure you wont have anti lock brakes but that's about it effect wise.

Well that is what I'm hoping for but it never hurts to check before you bend something.

I would do what you describe: pull the abs fuse to deactivate it.
You'll know immediately if it is something else when you can suddenly drive. You could trick it to self disable by unplugging a wheel sensor

Would that I could get down to pull wheel sensors. I have been well on my way to solving this problem. Having said that I'm going to pull the two marked for ABS (only) and see what happens.
BTW: I tried to PM you but your box is full.

Tried the center button but it did very little for my driveability problem.

Abs is what's acting up. You can't disable abs.

He,he he. If I did not care about the outcome and had no desire to drive the car again I bet I could, even in my slightly disabled older condition, find a way to turn it off. But I do care and do want to restore the working condition hence my reticence to just pull fuses willy-nilly.
Appreciate the suggestions from all concerned.

Pulling a fuse should do the job of getting abs to stop hyperactivity. When abs is acting odd intermittently it's usually either a worn out or dirty wheel sensor (rust can interfere with the signal) or the wheel bearing ring part of the sensor.
There are places that will repair the most common abs module defect on your part so no coding required for about $200
