4 bolts and disconnecting a connector and the seat is out. How hard is that? The seat was assembled when it was outside of the car so assembly of the switch cover is base on that and not on it being in the car.

andrewwynn will become famous soon enough
When I work under a front seat I just take out the front bolts loosen the back to almost out and rock it back to make plenty of room. I'm leary of disconnecting abs related stuff (of which there are a couple) In case I need to turn the ignition on for testing mid way. (Even though the NT 510 is supposed to reset air bag stuff why chance it?)

Just did this on passenger side...thought I would share. My seat would only tilt backwards, so I replaced the seat switch with a used switch from junkyard. Pblm solved.

If you look at the tabs holding the seat switch cover the wrong way, they will snap. I was as careful as I could be and I still broke one of the four tabs

Take a look at a picture of a seat switch cover to familiarize yourself
Remove 4 seat bolts or nuts. Do not unplug yellow seat plug.
Remove single t-20 screw in the back of the seat switch cover
Tilt seat back and find the 2 bottom tabs holding cover..gingerly release with fingers
Use a screwdriver from the top between cover and seat to press down on upper 2 tabs to release them.
Then Unclip the seat switch assembly from cover before unplugging the seat switch.

Re-installation is just reverse.
