AvinUSA Avant-4 install DIY and review video
I see there is a GREAT thread going for the install of this display, and I wanted to share the work I had done as well on this. I have both the installation DIY and high level walkthrough video too. All in all I really like this in my car, and prefer the new tile UI over the previous Avant-3 I had installed. We need a more of a walk through on coding and DVR. I know you haven't installed the DDVR-CAM2 yet but some of us here are looking for more information on lane departure and DVR recording directories.

Good vids. I've likewise gone from an Avant 2 and recently installed an Avant 4. Definite improvement in hardware and software. A video with in-depth functionality would be great as Overboost mentions. The high level info is helpful, but is fairly self-explanatory or covered elsewhere.
Keep the videos coming though. The more info out there, the better. My install video covers nav unit installations and I'd like to do an actual review of the unit in the future but it's not in my truck so will have to get with the owner for that.

Here's a question: Is there any way to completely disable the AM/FM radio?

I'm not sure if there is a way to actually disable it but you can change the order in which the apps turn on and what the default is when the key is turned so you never have to see/hear the radio.

I don't know if there is a way to disable it. I don't use it by simply not turning it on, so I've never had an interest in disabling it. Why don't you just not turn it on?

Because I don't want other people to turn it on, or to ever accidentally turn it on while switching sources. Also because I have an extreme irrational hatred of the radio.

OK. Sorry, but best I can tell, there is no way to disable it on mine.
