I reckon it started after changing oil. Most probably previous oil was 3W30 whereas now I put 3W40 after mechanic’s suggestion. I followed all above recommendations and at the the moment oil levels are okay even the coolant. All gadgets shows okay - no error sign ever since I bought her at 92k km (now is almost 96k km)

But when I throttle above 3000 rpms for a second I can see white smoke from mirror. And then disappears (this might be also weather related as it is getting colder in Sydney recently). Burning smell almost disappeared since that day but still I can feel very little bit of smell. Strangely mechanic says it is all good, don’t worry (but I am not sure how he is familiar 4.8is E53 series - as this is rare car on the market atm. Members of this form has more accumulated wealth of knowledge than any mechanic )

My biggest fear is VSS failure but I don’t mind - will get it fixed once it happens. Just want to observe it sooner rather than later. But I also don’t wanna drive it below 2000 rpms everyday - so boring when you have a monster engine but you can’t put leg on the pedal confidently

Attached a picture from weekend drive (250km distance traveled in one go) exclusively for you guys.

Have a nice week everyone. Thanks for great advice (you can follow her on instagram - just search for number plate lolz)

Did you pull the PCV valve apart and check for sludge (mayonnaise)? To be honest that's THE most common reason for mosquito fogging as opposed to VSS especially at your mileage. I'll repost my pic (when i find it) from my fog issue and it was a valvetronic motor going bad but it DEFINITELY throws a code.(2A63 & 2A6B)

Found it..

The "dalmatian" option is so not cool.

>idling for 30 minutes

Idling with a malfunctioning CCV statement will suck lots of oil into the intake manifold. This is the most likely cause and the easiest to check and fix. Link below to how I fixed my problem.

Always start at the easiest and cheapest fix and work your way down the possibilities. Least likely and most expensive fix is valve stem seals.

Pull the CCV hose and inspect for oil. If you have a boroscope, also check the intake manifold for oil. (It can be cleaned by spraying carb cleaner down the CCV port while the engine is running.)

Guys got some updates finally

2 days later after 250km drive started engine, did 2-3 revving. No white smoke & burning smell. However I observed oil in the exhaust after revving, also under the car. Weekdays I don’t have chance to drive the car so sitting at garage. Will check later days to figure out how bad oil leak gets. All gadgets & coolant level shows okay.

Attached pictures, any recommendations what to do next? .jpg[/IMG]

^Uh oh. Possible alternator housing gasket leak. Going to have to inspect that... it will fail catastrophically. Fingers crossed for you it's leaking somewhere else.
