Reconnecting the manifold exhaust to the rest of the exhausts is a bear to do.

How are you supporting the exhaust under the car? Grab yourself, if you don’t have already, another jack and make sure you have the exhaust supported really well, maybe even notch a block of wood so the exhaust rests in it and doesn’t slide off the jack. Then you can jack the exhaust up/down a little to help wrestle it in place.

Yep-exactly what I did. I galled one of my new gaskets a bit from levering the pipes together but can always do again if it leaks.
