Turn off seat belt warning
I have a problem with some encodings of my 2004 X5 3.0d. I followed the post of TarminatorX5 and the codification changes made on hes X5 where I found this variation to be made to deactivate the sound of the seat belts GURTWARNUNG_GONG - nicht_activ But when I read the * .TRC file, it is already set as nicht_aktiv. Could anyone help me? If it can be useful the car is German, but imported in 2005 in Italy |

Perhaps there is a sensor issue with the driver seat. Worst case scenario, you can always clip the leads going to the female part of the seat belt and wire the two leads together. This closes the circuit and tells the DME that the tone doesn’t need to sound and the ‘fasten seat belt’ is not displayed.

But is not working also for the passenger side, can it say anyting?
I think, maby, it's need other coding more than GURTWARNUNG_GONG. I'm wrong? |

Is there anything with ‘sitz’ or ‘platz’? All you have done is turned off the seatbelt gong, but I am near 100% certain that the pressure sensors in the seats may be causing an issue. I don’t know how many subsets are involved in that root directory with the seatbelt gong setting, so if the sensor settings are in a higher subset, it may override the gong sound. Is all of this within the SRS files?

I do not have problem with the seat sensors, they work properly because the car has very low mileage (100,000 km).
I do it because my father can't use the belt, so the gong is annoying. I don't know what the * .SRS files are, I've been coding for a very short time so I'm not very experienced. |

If it's just for one user just do the classic buckle the belt behind him.

Can you go under the carpet and jump/cut the wires for the seat sensors?

They aren't under the carpet just under the seat. The idea already suggested above. I dont know if bucked + no seat sensor causes an implausible condition.
You could use a couple vampire tap splices and put a switch so you can disable the belt when you want. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
