Overboost, how is this 3M sealer holding up after time? I see you did this back in 2017? After 3 years would you say you would use this again?

Anyone found a good cure for foggy headlamps?

For $30 Walmart will use the $25 kit and do the labor for you. They spent over an hour doing wife’s and they came out great Sadly I didn’t take a proper before photo but you can see how frosted they were before. Mine were ∞ worse. I replaced mine Anybody out there can read Indonesian? Bonus points if you can decode wife’s plate.

I would have quoted you but the site appears to prevent that at the moment. Must be the maintenance.
$30 isn't a bad deal at all to have someone else do it. I just have a hangup about others working on my car(s). I may have to get over that fear for this reason.

Used it on one of my headlights and it worked great. I then shot it with 2K clear gloss. Has stayed looking great. |

I wet sanded with 3M wetordry 600/800/1200/1500/2000.
Took 30-45 min each side and probably used $40 worth of sandpaper. Then I compounded with a DA polisher, jescar cutting compound and a heavy cutting pad. Then I polished using the same polisher (Griot's garage original 3" model) and a polishing pad and Jescar micro-finishing polish. I've used the 3M setup and this method probably does about 10-15% better (got it to 90% of new but I can still see imperfections with my paint light). BUT...it's a lot of extra effort and expense for the marginally better results. Luckily I already had all that equipment. I'd be surprised if a body shop couldn't do it in 30 minutes though. Took me about 1.5 hours. For sealing, i've tried plain ole urethane in the past but that was toast in 18 months and is a little tricky to get just right. I've also tried ceramics and opticoat type stuff. Never tried 2k clear but I think that would be a great option. Finally got sick of dealing with it (I have 2 e53s) and had the headlights covered with XPEL film. Hopefully that'll last the life of the car. That only runs about $75 to get your headlights filmed (here in NC) and adds a lot of extra protection beyond just yellowing etc. I'd HIGHLY recommend considering that to be honest. I'll have it on all my cars going forward including my wife's QX60.
