Roof Rail Finish

Anyone know what the finish is on the roof rails? Is it paint or anodized? If it's paint I can fix it.

I think I've seen it flake off. I got some damn water stains on the rails, & after a polish it got better but its still kinda visible... im thinking its not regular paint/ clear coat. So annoying... Id guess its the same finish as the window trim.

Doesn't flake. It's just faded and looks kind of like oxidized paint. If it's paint I can buff it. If it's anodized, buffing could strip he anodizing.

I think the window trim is paint, no clear coat. Could be wrong, but it seems to fade like paint without a clear coat.
