SAS 4x4 light. how do i get it to reset?

hi,my 4x4 light is on. i did a scan with a snap on solus pro scanner, and it came up with steering angle sensor.
i have just replaced this tonight in my 2004 x5 3ltr petrol.
i did the full lock, left to right a few times, but the 4x4 light is still on.
how do i get it to calibrate etc. and disappear?
thanks

andrewwynn will become famous soon enough
You need to code to car I believe. Foxwell 510/520 I think can do that chore. Level 1 scanners cannot.

i had this issue before. i didn't have to replace the steering angle sensor. all it needed was calibration. i used INPA for this. if you still have the old one, you could give it a try...otherwise, you will have to have it coded as andrew said.

Yes, a new SAS needs to be coded to the car.
