my x5 e53 2005 PDC not working

I depend on PDC alot especially to park in my narrow outdoor garage. They were working perfectly until recently they suddenly stopped. when reverse gear is selected i get a green flashing light followed by a 3-5 seconds loud beep. The sensors (i.e front & back) give off no warning sound when close to an object while in reverse. I booked an auto electrician in to diagnose the problem but his machines showed no fault with the system or the senors.

What do I do next please?

wpoll will become famous soon enough
Turn the system on and put your ear up close to each sensor - you may be able to hear each one clicking slightly - if one is faulty it will be silent. Check the rear first, since that's where your issue is.

The light on the dash is indicating some sort of failure - most likely a sensor.

Do you have a Foxwell?

I ask because that's what I use...

Anyway in the Foxwell you can test the PDC and adjust it very easily (sometimes too easily) and when I did mine I basically screwed it up and reset the values so that just being on caused what you're describing, although I also did the "clockwork" test so I can't say for sure if having PDC screwed with it and not reset correctly and maybe going through clockwork exacerbated it. Just go in and see what distance they're set for then make a minor change and set them back to the correct distance and see if that stops the PDC error.

Agreed. Most likely a sensor or wiring to one of them...

I used DIS5.7 to check my status as I have same issue as OP and mine said all 8 had error and negative wire was problem
I've not looked into this yet but I'm assuming a negative wire at module somehow. I'd like to fix this but I'm not electric inclined to change something I don't even really need.
