Bimmian & Jlevi Gone? Close up shop?

Did these companies go t*ts up? I can't find hide nor hair in reference to them closing or going out of business. Which is surprising with BMW forums. Neither of these were my favorite BMW parts vendors but as a community it's never a good thing to lose a parts vendor on a platform(s). Anyone have any info?

That there was it . They weren't that big of a hit.

They really didn't sell much anything special. They were cool for CF overlays and Bulbs with re-branded china parts in between.

Amazon kinda took over is my guess. That or BMW dropped a C&D letter.

I swear I was on Bimmian's site a few weeks back?

Although Jlevi was a huge hit on E46Fanatics back in the day, they were more of a reseller for Umnitza's products, and offered their own warranties and (at the time) better service.

May I ask which items you were looking for?

I was on bimmian about a month ago... Everything was 40% off, now I know why. Liquidation. I want looking for anything in particular, was just used to seeing their search results in Google for things like LED bulbs and carbon fiber pieces. I think at the time I was looking for a blackout grille for my e61 wagon.

Same here.

With internet sites like Amazon and eBay selling from the "lowest bidder" vendors, companies need to succumb to pricing adjustments accordingly or face the same fate. While some of these vendors have higher quality items, the sheep of the commerce world flock to rock bottom pricing and kills the quality vendors that are still out there.

^ For sure. But the sword cuts both ways. These vendors were sometimes selling quality Chinese/Taiwanese/Korean parts at huge markups when same stuff was commonly available through eBay and Amazon for a third of the cost. I don't mind being charged a premium for a quality product, but don't try to get me to believe your stuff is worlds better when it's actually the same product put into your packaging. Better warranty can be worth paying more, but that's debatable. I just can't believe no one else is talking about this. I saw one thread on a 5er forum and it was removed within 48 hours.

I was worried about Turner a few years ago as they used to be insanely priced. They've now fallen mostly in line with fcp, ecs, etc.

As long as FCP hangs in there with their lifetime warranty. Hope its not a mafia one: When a part breaks they whack you. See lasted your lifetime!

FCP lifetime warranty is legit. I've used it before and no questions were asked. I'd never buy expensive car parts from Amazon, no, never!

It looks like Bimmian was acquired by Weisslicht? bimmian.com redirects you to https://weisslicht.com

So Turner (online) and BavAuto sold/liquidated to ECS Tuning.

The issue now is ECS has gotten very large in a small amount of time, and are having serious customer service and order issues. This was happening before they acquired Turner and BavAuto, but now the problem has gotten worse at least 10x.

If you're on FB, and have some time to kill; join "Why I hate ECS Tuning" group. It's pretty comical.
