Plenty of us to help you @ETAction. First, let us know your X5 year and current radio/navigation system. Also is it equipped with DSP? This will give us a starting point on your install.

I am new to the E53 scene but not new at all to BMW ownership. I bought the 4.8is formerly owned by Tam, who was fairly prominent on the Outpost. https://xoutpost.com/classifieds/bmw...-aero-kit.html Any pointers would be most helpful. Avin has an install vid on their website but it involves non nav radio which is a much different process as far as I can tell |

Unfortunately, you have the hardest model to do the aftermarket systems install. Everything needed is in the back of the X5 (amp, radio, etc)to connect to the headunit up front.
One of our members Crystalworks made his video of a nav equipped X Avant-4 install for another member. https://youtu.be/D1gV5QHJRs8 He took it completely apart for his install but it is done like the factory would have routed the harness. Others have simply routed the wires down the right side under the door sill covers. 2 hours vs. 8 hours, up to you.
