On an xdrive 328 I worked on, I pulled the fuse for transfer case to run in 2wd and the wipers ran the whole time.

The adjustment isn't for speed - its for sensitivity of the rain sensor. If its raining constantly then the wipers will run constantly, regardless of the dial position.

It depends if you have a rain sensor. If you do, the adjuster is for sensitivity, if not, it’s for intermittent speed.
Are you able to adjust low or high, or is just one speed when you turn it on? What type of windshield wiper system do you have?

Yes I know it wasn’t for speed I was just trying everything to make it not work constantly if I push the wiper arm to the first position it just constantly goes even with a light drizzle..

There's a ton of threads on problems with rain sensors, esp. after windscreen replacements. The sensor can be re-initilised via INPA - might be worth trying.

Check fuse 41 for the rain light sensor. Does the rear wiper work?
