The tail lights are such a mess.

This is the right side.
Black and white wire is cut off, I guess it's no longer needed with the new tail lights. Brown is ground, I opened it for testing.
Black wire is the one that's spliced to bring power to the left tail light.
You can see on the left side how the wire that's been spliced on the right side comes to give power to the left side.

The black wire on left side is cut off and I'm thinking because it probably doesn't have any power.
I tested it with a multimeter and there's nothing, while the same black wire on the right has voltage.
Wherever this black wire is coming from, it lost power somewhere.
tHAT'S really a terrible butcher job from the last owner or whomever did the work there ! it's going to make fixing the problem 'right' the 'second time' a big task.

You haven't seen anything yet what they did to the wiring should be criminal! I didn't take pictures to spare people's nervous systems lol
Well I'll start looking up at newtis.info to trace the couple of wires I need.

At least mechanically the cars seems solid and exterior is decent

The inside is pretty bad, they took the panels apart and put them back together with broken clips and put fasteners through the panels lol! The interior just shows they it was severely neglected.

I would also prefer a black on black car so I'm looking for a black interior.

I was wondering if I can swap doors directly from a 4.4 X5? As long as they match colors, it's easier than taking apart the door panels. But is it a direct bolt on, clip connectors and go?

I honestly have no clue but I will be changing brakes soon and I'll check what's stamped on them!
