*edit* - re-reading the original post, I now think Dinan4.6is IS asking about the snap-in nuts....
Ordered a couple of these from my local dealer. Will see if they indeed work for me. They're pricy at $11 a piece .

Well I fixed the $230 door actuator for $6-12, the door handle carrier for 28¢, the fuel sender unit for 6¢. Time to take this one on.

The nylatch 1/4 turn looks like might direct replace (likely would not be captive) but where do you buy them?

Their website has an online store called "Latchstore by Southco" I didn't see if you have to order a zillion dollars worth but the unit price is reasonable.
