That seems like heaps of effort to put in, but the results are incredible.

Having said that, I'm really happy with the way it looks after just popping an led in place of the standard bulb.

Now I just gotta upgrade my low beams, high beams and fogs to LED

Any instructions on how you opened up the housing?

Crazy coincidence. I just posted a DIY. Not easy though. Good luck.

Don't go there - ain't worth the trouble of converting the headlight and all the coding etc.

You have D2S Xenon HID low/high beams (the projector lens is half sheilded on low beam and full projector when on high). Converting to LED is going to require changing a bunch of stiff, both physical and coding (the Xenons are at least self-levelling and are monitored etc.)

The jury is out as to which is better - LED or Xenon - but the split seems to be 50/50, so it seems like there's not a lot in it.

Maybe add some new D2S Xenon lamps though - many folk swear by Osram Nightbreakers.

Also, I thought your ADR laws forbid installing LED in housings made for halogen etc. - I know ours do.

I had halogen H7's in mine. Picked up some LEDS with tiny little chips that accurately mimic the original halogen filament positioning and they work and look perfect. Very sharp cut off exactly where the cut off was with the Halogens in there, no glare, well focused light...Jury is out on how long they will last yet...Every now and then when you first start the car it will give a check low beam warning, but that goes away very quickly and doesnt seem to affect headlight operation at all....guess I'll update in a few months

Well heck - they look just like the Bi-Xenons in your photos - who knew? (not me!).

Old Halogen to the left of the image, new LED to the right.

These are what I put in.

No complaints, yet

Nice - noticably brighter, even in daylight.

But as I suspected, not legal. Not that anyone will care...

Check out the dim grey fine print on the bottom of page 2 & 3 of Narva LED product PDF...

So what halo lamps did you use?

The regulations vary a bit from state to state here...if my X had the headlight washers, the LEDs would be completely legal....having said that, They dont glare oncoming drivers as the cut off is the same as it was with the halogens, Beyond that im not overly concerned about legality over something so trivial.

These are the halo lamps I used. I'm very happy with them given the limitations involved with the standard rings. They dont throw any codes or cause any problems.
