I'm not really sure how the prop-shaft will "pull out" on hard turns or flexion of the engine. The TCase is bolted to the transmission which is bolted to the engine block....The front diff is then bolted to the side of the oil pan that is bolted to the engine block. So the whole front powertrain is one rigid structure.

At any rate, there are some discrepancies with the replacement front diff prop shaft. This front one miraculously lasted 188k miles...so I think it warrants a new direct replacement. It'd be nice to upgrade it to the longer splined input, but I'd have to R&R that prop shaft and get it balanced. I'd rather just buy a new direct replacement for $120.

So discrepancies with front prop-shaft length. I see on realoem listed as 774mm=30.47inches.

Some shafts are advertised as measuring 30.71 inches...but that's taken from the tip of splines to the installed guibo--which is false advertising, IMHO. Then there's one listed for 27.13inches. I'm not really sure, and I feel like i'm just going to have to order one and see how it matches up with my OE.
