Fair comment Ace, especially if you're only looking for sponsored events. They do normally have many that run throughout the year in various markets, through different geographic and now non-geographic model-esque Chapters, though our COVID future leaves some of that in limbo for the next 6 months or so. As for "absolutely no benefits" as mentioned above, the rebates on vehicles, discounts on parts through various dealerships, and once-a-year raffles, more than make up the $58, IMHO. The magazine is a nice pictorial bonus, and the articles/classifieds are really informative.

In 1999 and the early 2000's, I might agree. With now near 60% of US BMW vehicles sold having an "X" before the number, there are more than you think. Are they all enthusiasts? No. But then again, we're on Xoutpost (formally X5World) forums for the same reason that someone would want to join the BMWCCA X Chapter - to be with other like-minded individuals, and those that stay for the friendship

Having an E46 as well now, amongst former other models, when I would show up to a meet with my X, around so many other enthusiast models like E46, E30, E39, E60 = many people didn't view me as a "die-hard" BMW-phile. Meanwhile, my X(es) have had more mods than my E46 did.

Cool Unconvinced

I am unconvinced, it would be just an expensive magazine subscription for me. This is an E53 forum, people in here mostly likely don't drive new vehicles like me, so the BMW discounts are just a wet dream for us. With that being of no benefit to us, is the magazine that good for older vehicle owners like us, or is my money better spent extending my subscriptions to Motor Trend & Car and Driver for my daydreams?

That's fair. Though parts discounts available and other events that do take place for those willing to travel still are a great benefit. Also, while this is an E53 forum, some just like to keep antiques (like myself ) while still having a newer X as well. Don't forget, you'll still get a $250 CPO credit too.
