Yes sir. I agree completely. It's just the geek in me, I always look at the configuration in NCS Dummy to see what options exist and to see if I can ever learn more.

Okay...FIRST THINGS FIRST. BATTERY CHARGER!

You are running routines on your modules and you need to MAKE sure you do not have an undervoltage scenario. Granted, you are only going to be "reading" info, it is still a service routine that you DO NOT want power to cut out on you.

I recommend hooking up a battery charger of at least 10 amps to your jump point under your hood when you KOEO (Key On Engine Off). Hopefully you are skilled and competent enough to do this with adequate tools like a battery charger.

Now...I do not take any responsibility of your actions when utilizing any of these programs and consequences from choices you make. There are multiple version of "NCS Expert" with different "languages" and settings. So it might look a little different than what you see here--but hopefully not. Now anyway...

Get me and post your PARMS for your ORIGINAL DSC. I showed you mine when selected on the last pic. I also have an example set from an E53 4.4...so it'll be interesting to see how they compare.

@rocketyman:

I been working long hours past couple days, just had a chance to look at NCS. Those screenshots and instructions were super helpful, thanks!

My menu inside NCS looks different, compared to your first step.

I just tried to attach and it says files are to big even though I used same laptop to send previous screenshots...

Let me know if you have some other way I can send you them, this forum doesn't work so well sometimes. Send me info in PM. Gonna try to resize and figure out way to post here.

Edit: Better yet if you can provide me with the version or a link of the exact NCS you are using that would be great, then we will be looking at same exact thing.

Thanks for help,

Erick

I just resize my photos with Microsoft Paint but it has to be done on my laptop. Forum users working from the cell phone will have to go the route listed above.

Here are the links to screenshots:

https://ibb.co/QJn1PgN

https://ibb.co/f0qNRRj

First pic shows the options I have when I start, and I tried a few of them. But when I click "change ECU" I don't get the list that has DSC, it asks me for a CBD name?
