5F1D, which wheel sensor?
Codes I'm getting. 5F1D/not present. This is a wheel sensor, not sure which one. But I figure this is any easy thing to try. also getting 55C4/not present. This is the DSC control, so not good. Figured I'd start with the wheel sensor and see what it does. Researched it a bit more and am now wondering if the first thing I should try is sending the DSC out to a repair service. Did you get a fix on this issue? If so please post how it worked out, I have the same code on a 2006 X3. |

Scan the wheel speed sensor inputs?
I understand the Driver's rear also controls the speedo input so if that's working the speedometer works. On my Foxwell it's in the transmission menu.

I did fix it, it's been 2 years so I don't remember how.
Just went and checked my email to see if I could find any clues in the form of a parts receipt. I assumed I'd find a receipt for a wheel speed sensor. All I found was that 5 days after I posted this I ordered an alternator. So in summary I barely remember this but based off of me buying an alternator, maybe low voltage causing funky BMW issues? |
