2001 X5 Shifter upgrade

Hi, My wife hates the automatic shifter handle on our X5 can i swap in a later led lighted handle from a newer BMW? and what models are interchangeable?

I think it would be easier to swap out the wife. My wife never complaint about anything on my cars other than the old girlfriends that use to ride in them.

Ya. Looks stupid. Doesn't go with the older interior. Sticks out like a sore thumb.

she likes the look of the lighted selector. her car who am i to judge? if she wants it swapped ill do it on a nice weekend. Happy Wife= Happy Life

You've got the right attitude there. I'm just happy my wife likes BMW's. If she makes questionable trim choices, that's her business.
