Hard Start

02 Dinan 4.6 - I have noticed after the last few fuel ups that the x5 becomes hard to start. I have to keep my foot on the gas pedal to get it running and after that it never has a hard start issue until the next fill up. Anyone have any ideas on this one?

Having similar problem on wife's. I'm about to order a crank position sensor and fuel pressure regulator. Get a fuel pressure gauge (I bought one from harbor fright [sic] for like $25)

I had that exact problem with my 3.0l that ended up being the purge valve.

Purge valve in the fuel system? That's an interesting resolution. More details please.

I replaced my Purge valve with a URO one and I think it started happening after this...

I was going to mention when you posted that in the other thread that I never trust URO for anything other than the simplest of parts. And even then I worry. But you said it resolved your problem, so I didn't.

I hate URO and I agree it was a $30 gamble. It did pass the system ventilation test after...
