Even better, then all he needs to do is replace 65126972666 and he's good to go, assuming the new used unit is good - no new amp to search for then

Couple that I found:

https://www.online-parts.co.uk/bmw-s...fessional.html

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...72666&_sacat=0

One looks to be UK based and the other, ebay, probably ships international. There were actually a few options on ebay. Good luck getting that sorted

These BM54 radio modules can also be repaired. This is a more permanent solution for these typical problems. Here is one supplier for repair.

Nice, very helpfull answers. I think I will buy one instead of waiting without radio until its repaired.
Now can you please give me a link to a nice head unit that can easily fit in my car without too much work?

If you want “drop in” you can go with the Avin unit at Avin.com, if you don’t want front and rear cameras, etc, etc, this actually fits the dash pretty much directly, with maybe just a tiny bit of plastic trimming.

For a plethora of options, check out Crutchfield.com. Drop in tour year and options and they’ll show you more than you ever wanted to see, including necessary installation adapters and mounting kits

No plastic trimming necessary for MKIV navigation equipped E53. Only the Mid systems required trimming of the support brackets.

Which one of these should I order? Anyone here tried those or have experience? Will they work direktly after installing with the existing cables?
Again I would like to ask if someone knows why are those two small plugs in the picture I upploaded earlier?

Don’t know what those two plugs are, assuming they are for other modules obviously but that doesn’t help you I know.

In regard to the HUs, I’ve not heard of the first one but MANY of guys have used the Avin, search Avin on the forum and you’ll find at least a half dozen full install threads - very good HU. That said, most of the guys who have used it have gone “all in” so to speak, front and rear cameras, OBDII readers, TV runners, etc, etc, you wouldn’t necessarily need that portion of their install.

That said, another HU I see a lot of on the forum is Eonon, search those on here and you’ll get some solid ideas, the forum has had great luck with both.
