I plan on changing the fluid, gasket, filter, bridge, jump and mechatronic seals and probably all the solenoids at some point - until then, I've decided to leave it alone, since it's working mostly)fine.

I would agree, usually a good idea but not always the case, buy a Ford Focus with 150000 miles that has never been changed but working ok - very bad idea to change that. In my case I bought a 2008 Buick with 120000 miles on it, changed the fluid and it immediately started slipping. Bought another 2011 Buick with 88000 miles on it and did a simple drain and fill and it also started slipping.... so I think that’s really car and case dependent because I ended up putting transmission in both. That said every BMW that I have owned has responded very well to fluid and filter changes as well as every automatic Mustang I’ve ever owned. Sent from my iPhone using Xoutpost.com |
