Help to identify unknown to me hose

Hi guys,

This pandemic time has made some damages to old and new parts in my ride, since my car was sit parked for long periods of time due to restrictions to use it in my country Costa Rica. Besides that, where I live has an average of humidity of about 80% during winter season which is mostly rain the whole time, so now to the subject...

I'm trying to resurrect my ride again, cleaning her and all, and I'm going to change a coolant pipe/hose that comes from the aux pump to the coolant acumulator back in the engine (m62tu), and to my surprise I found a hose that never paid attention to it before, because it looked awful and when I touched it basically disintegrated in my fingers, but I want to know what it is for... because I couldn't figure it out by myself.

This is a picture I borrowed from pelicanparts that shows the hose I'm talking about, since mine has passed away.

It's the one with a 90 degree elbow fit (don't know what's it's name).

Can anyone please help me understand what is it for?

I mean, I know I can just replace it, but I always like to know what I'm working with.

Thanks in advance to all!

Are you talking about one of the fat hoses with the yellow arrow?

Or the thin one beside the corrugated plastic?

Thanks, but I wasn't talking about those, it's the thin one with a 90 degree couple. The small one.
