Stem Seal Valve + Recommended Oil?

Hi guys.

I have the dreaded smoke on start up, idling and when putting the foot down.
I will be doing a service on my 4.8is 2005 - mileage is 99k.
What oil is recommended? I was told to use 5-30 shell helix ultra.

For the stem seal valves i will be using ATP AT-205.

Anyone tried it?

Thanks.

Yep. Seems to help. I add a bottle of it with every oil change (Liqui Moly 5w40 oil).

This is a pretty good resource too. Understand that there are compounds and such in oil to help with certain attributes. Some oil is not worth the cost over another based upon the base stock and additive package.
