nd owner bought a certified used BMW so they had a dealer warranty and hopefully the dealer went through the car to repair or replace items know to cause problems.
rd owner bought a used BMW with no warranty. With under 150,000 miles he might have purchase one of those extended warranties from late night TV shows. Brought the car to a shop that does repair on BMWs.
th owner bought a used BMW with no warranty but was cheap enough that he could afford to buy the BMW but not afford to take it to a dealer or a BMW shop. Post his problems on Xoutpost hoping that someone could direct him to a cheap fix. Buys OE or OEM parts because he's a DIYer and figures he's saving enough that he can splurge on good parts.
th owner bought a used BMW with no warranty but was cheap enough that he could afford to buy the BMW. Advertised as a fixer-upper. Post his problems on Xoutpost hoping that someone could direct him to a cheap fix. Gets into arguments on Xoutpost because the advice he receives is outside his budget. Instead of buying OE or OEM parts buys the cheapest parts on eBay or Amazon. His fix included Gerry rigging fixes such as wrapping torn CV boots with electrical tape, taping over the Check Engine Light (same electrical Tape) so he won't be able to see it.
Been here long enough to see all type of owners. Which type of owner are you?
