I do have running boards. Can you link the set that was posted for sale??

Soooo, what I didn’t remember was that it was in England...but I’ll keep my eyes open. I found an intact black 4.8is bumper in TX a few weeks ago for only $250.

I have over $2K in mine to do the rear with factory parts. The front flares were another $750 with rivets added to the $500 donor front bumper with paint. All in all, around $3.5K for factory 4.8iS bumpers and flaring.
I have the bumper and I don’t need the front flares. I would prefer to go factory like you did but that is cost prohibitive at the moment.

I hear ya bagpype. It takes an insane fanatic to put half the value of the vehicle into cosmetic flares and bumpers. Call me crazy but I still smile every time I turn around and look back at her.

For anyone that cares, I DID buy the whole aftermarket running board setup (minus those two rear bumper pieces) from Schmiedmann. They were like $421 with everything else, including extended front and rear flares. They anchored a shipping cost of $300, but I got loads more stuff...so I’d call it $550ish. They seem like good quality and I couldn’t live without running boards on an e53...I’ll get some before/after pics up after getting on it!
