Mounting spot for AUC Sensor

Hi guys,

changed the alternator on my 2005 X5 and noticed right on the beginning, the sensor for AUC (part# 64116917001) was "flying around" near the air filter.

I cannot find the exact correct location for the sensor.

Can somebody help?? With a picture would be great.

Thanks

Michael

Thanks Overboost!

Found it now, but the bracket for the sensor is broken off, happened probably by one of the previous owners.

For now I will secure it beside the airfilter.

Zip tie might work as well depending on how it's broke but for sure you want to get it back to it's place on the fan shroud so it can sample the incoming air properly.

Im wondering, is there no pinout for connector X3211?
Can't see it for some reason. I'd like to test the connector wires before replacing the sensor
