FunnybutnotFunny
If I ordered the last 2 in inventory together the actual delivery date for both was June 7 despite the stated date of May30. Ordering 1 at a time, which i did, the delivery dates are May 30 and June 1. |

My apologies for the delayed reply concerning the new rear wheel sensors.. Thank you very much to andrewwynn. The new AIP wheel sensors fit was very snug or tight and required a little bit of effort to push down and install as compared to the ones I took out which were loose fitting, come out with no effort and would drop into the hole easily. After install, where I had only the rear two wheels off the ground, I loaded INPA and hand spun the wheels and I now had wheel speed from both rear wheels. Then with all 4 wheels on the ground I took it out for a drive and now the speedometer is working, I now have all 4 wheel speeds, (see attached), and the front wheels are no longer locking up. I am extremely grateful for the help I received and without the forum to pull from the rabbit hole and steer me in the right direction i would still be chasing this issue. |

In my first post of this thread I noted the VIN on the EGS belongs to a 1998 BMW 7 Series and based on the transmission part number concluded the TCM had been changed. Should I search out and find a 2003 E53 X5 4.4i TCM and install to be sure the module matches the vehicle. When I look across an auction sites compatibility tables when searching for an E53 TCM many results are from E39 series vehicles. But a RWD TCM in an AWD, with a different part number ZF5HP24 transmission just doesn't seem right to me. (did I just answer my own question??) . |

Here is the history of E53 4.4i (M62) EGS. Software number is the 7 last digits on the part number of programmed EGS. https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/par...&q=24607526302
