The previous explains why I had no voltage in the front or rear. If the battery is too low, those sensors won't have voltage. Those two INPA errors appear interchangeably, I'm not sure why they change. I'm gonna scan the module, erase the first error, scan again, then the second error comes up. Now I tried connecting new ride height modules to the rear to see what would happen. The one weird thing that happened, as soon as I connected a rear module, I'd get around 5 volts on if, but the front sensor would show 0. At some point both showed 5 volts, but that didn't last long But soon thereafter, with the rear sensor connected, I'd only see voltage on the rear sensor. What I really don't understand is why I lose voltage on the front if I connect the rear sensor. Not sure if it's normal or not. I'm suspecting there would be something wrong with the module. When I first launch INPA and tried to scan the LRA module, it gave me some kind of an error. I closed INPA and tried to scan the module again, and it worked. In ISTA, on this screen Where it says "State: ON" it will be switching between "ON" and "OFF" multiple times. I'm not sure if this is normal. I'd appreciate if someone could at least scan their LRA module in INPA to see how the voltages display |

When I was having issues with a sensor there was a re-initialization procedure that had to be done via INPA before everything started working as it should. I'm sorry I can't remember the exact procedure and in what module it was. But until doing that my sensor would read way out of range and my headlight leveling and aiming would not function on one headlight. My problem sensor was the left front.
Yours may be completely different however as yours is a pre-LCI and so uses different modules for the leveling in the headlights.

I definitely remember reading your thread about re-initializing, or a very similar thread.
I'm pretty sure it's different on LCI cars. On pre LCI, there is only right front and right rear sensors responsible for headlight adjustment. I also read through a few threads were people had issues with the sensors, replaced then and did not have to re-initialize. |

It was during the deletion of ehc2 timeframe for sure. But my headlight leveling would not work, and my FL sensor (used and new) would not read correctly until whatever procedure was carried out. I know it was not in the ehc2 module though as I had deleted it already from the ZCS. I was attempting to diagnosis the non working LS headlight not leveling when I stumbled into it in inpa.

LCI cars (with no air suspension) are the same - only sensors on FR and RR.

Ok I think I solved it guys.
It looks like it was an issue only with a sensor. I scanned with INPA, opened the voltage page and again only had voltage on the front sensor. I started to connect all the spare sensors I had. I was also looking at my laptop screen at the same time. It's funny how it works, but depending how you move that freaking sensor, it will change or not change voltage. I found spots (in the air) where the sensor would change voltage. From 0 all the way to 4.568. Even if you move it ever so slightly, values will change. But in other spots in the air, you can move it all you want and it won't change values. But of course as soon as I connected the rear sensor and it displayed voltage, the front sensor stopped displaying voltage. I continued to fiddle around with the sensor, and at some point both voltages started to get displayed, front and read. I closed INPA, opened ISTA and rescanned, and had no more errors, even though ISTA was also showing only 5 volts in the rear, not the front. I left it alone, came back, rescanned with INPA, the front sensor is still frozen at 0.431 and the back voltage will change with moving the sensor around. INPA shows an error again. Deleted the error, rescanned, everything is fine. Now the error could be coming back because the sensor is not at the right place. A few things are for certain now. Only 3 wires are responsible for the headlamps and are totally independent of the air suspension. No coding is required. Only 2 sensors, rear right and front right, are needed to for the headlights. I know this was said before but now there's 0 doubt. I'm about to put everything back together and test again. Too dumb again didn't take pictures when taking it apart... I can't find anywhere on the internet how that sensor is supposed to attach lol One way seems wrong, but the other way it bumps into the upper control arm |

The factory manual states...
Installation: Ride-height sensor must be aligned to bracket so that sensor lever (4) points outwards after ride-height sensor has been installed. After installation: If necessary, bend bracket towards rear by A = 3 to 4 mm to avoid a collision between eccentric bolt and connection joining jointed rod to sensor lever

Looks like the rear one is showing reasonable value now. What about the front sensor installation? It's value is too low to be normal position value.
