Tow hitch bumper carrier?
How badly did I screw up? Can the stock carrier be made to work? Thanks! 2002 X5 3.0 |

I also bought the kit without the metal bumper (aka "euro bumper"). So I had to used a die grinder to cut out the middle section to make it fit. It needed a small amount of clearance, but the metal tack welded metal plate had to go, as well as a small section of the bar. (I might have a photo of it, it was years ago.)

I can't find the "after" photo but this shows where I started to cut the metal plate. There is an L piece under that had to be cut out slightly as well.
